What to expect from your photo shoot
From the moment you make an enquiry, right through to receiving your new photos, it’s all about you!
Here’s a little guide detailing what to expect when booking a photo shoot with me.

Free consultation
First thing’s first! Let’s have a little chat to decide if we’d like to work together.
Not every photography will be for you, and not every client will be for me. So let’s get to know each other and see whether we vibe (I’m sure we will).
During your consultation, we will:
- see if we'd like to work together
- explore how I can help you and your business
- bounce a few ideas around
- talk through your business and visibility goals
- ask questions about my pricing, packages, or what to expect
Consultations can be in-person, online, or over the phone.

Image planning
All great photos need planning.
For packages that include one, we’ll have a one-hour Image Planning Session* – during this session we’ll look at each and every element of your business, the services you provide, or the products you sell, and design a shot list and schedule that we’ll follow on the day of your photo shoot/s.
During your planning session we'll:
- deep dive your business and processes
- look at your client's experience when working with you
- talk about things like locations, outfits, and models
- ask and answer lots of questions
We’ll get creative, feel inspired, and rest assured we’ll get the very best out of our time together, simply because because we planned!
* Included in my Half-Day and Full-Day Brand Photography experiences, and my Pay-Monthly Photography Subscription. If you opt for my Photo Refresh, you’ll plan your own images and send me a list of the images you’d like me to work from.

Shoot day
Yay! The day has finally arrived. It’s shoot day.
It’s ok to feel a little nervous – it’s completely normal and natural, but remember, you’re the master of what you do, so all you need to do is focus on that – leave the rest to me.
And don’t forget, we’ve already planned the photos (although we’ll freestyle on the day too) – so all that’s left to do, is for you to do your thing, and I’ll capture you doing what you love.
On the day of your photo shoot:
- we'll meet at the agreed time and place
- bring everything you need
- ensure your outfits are freshly laundered and ironed
- I'll capture loads of content
- you'll have the best experience
We’ll have a really fun time and I promise you’ll ease into the shoot and feel super relaxed.

Photo reveal
Back at the studio, I’ll go through your images, throw out the ones I don’t think you’d appreciate (of you blinking etc.), and prepare the very best selection of photos from your shoot for you to see.
You’ll be invited to your photo reveal session** which will take place online, or in-person.
At this stage, your images will be unedited and fresh off the camera. They’ll also be low-resolution so that your gallery loads as quickly as possible.

- See how amazing you look in your new images
- Access your private online gallery
- Choose the images you'd like
- Submit your final selection

Finishing touches
This is where I perfect and lightly retouch the photos you’ve chosen, and hand them over.
Light retouching includes:
- applying the perfect crop
- tweaking and enhancing the lighting and colours
- removing any unwanted spots or blemishes
- get rid of anything unsightly in the background of your images (unless it feels right to leave it there)
Your images will be uploaded to your online gallery as high-resolution JPGs and you’ll be invited to download them.

Start showing up
When you receive your images, please download them and save them somewhere safe and secure (two places ideally).
